BAKERS ' CONFERENCE.
Fer Press Association, AUCKLAND, last night.
The bakers’ conference unanimously fixed tiro price of the 41b loaf for tbe colony in proportion to the price of flour delivered—namely, Sour Ut £7 per ton, the loaf at 5d ; an iucreaso of j-d per loaf for every pound increase per ton of flour. It was stated that tho following prices would rule in the different districts: Dunedin, flour at £9 15s, bread Gl-d ; Wellington, £lO 2s Gd, 7d ; Auckland, £lO 7s 6d, 7d ; .Christchurch, £9 10s, CM. Later.—-The Bakers’ Conference discussed The'"question of cutting, and resolved that it be a recommendation to the Auckland Union to obtain an'agreement and sympathy from the flour merchants; in order to cope with cutters. Tho relations with the Flour Millers’ Association were and it was resolved not to have any agreement outside of ordinary commercial lines, but that arrangements bo made for terms of discount with millers. A motion of protest against the limit placed on boy labor was carried, as well as a resolution urging upon Government tho necessity of amending the law relating to email debts.
