On the playbills this piece is desoribed, aptly enough, as an up-to date eomio operatieal comedy. In it melody and merriment have entered into a jovial conspiracy to amuse ana entertain, and tho partnership is a successful one. “ The Lady Slavey ” made an instantancous hit, as there wore many reasons why it should,” On Tuesday night the up-to-date musical comedy “ A Trip to Chicago ” will be staged, in which Mr Sheridan appears as Johanna Murphy, the Irish mother-in-law.
