ADDINGTON SALE.
Per Press Association. Christchurch, last night. There was a comparatively small yarding at Addington to-day, and the attendance of buyers was loss than usual. Fat cattle : One hundred and seventyfour head came forward. Tho sale openod dull, and though it improved lator on tho market as a whole was easier than in the previous week. Steers brought £7 13s to £l7, heifers £6 5s to £lO 10s, cows £6 5s to £lO 15s, beef 28s to 38s per lb.’ Fat sheep : The enry was again limited, and included a large proportion of half-fat wethers. Competition was exceptionally keen, and prices showed an advanoe on tho previous week’s rates. Wethers,', .extra prime, brought 27s to 28a 6d ; prime 22a 6d to 26s 6d, others 19s 9d to 22s£, prime Merino wethers 22s to 245, lighted ,16s to 19s 2d ; owes 19s 9d to 245. Fat lambs : Eighty-six were yelled and realised from 12s 6d to 21s Store aheop : Only 800 came;#rward, and every lot sold readily. Ewes and lambs, all counted, brought 10s 9d to 11s; wetberß 18s 3d to 20s 6d ; hoggets, Ifis 9d tolßs4d. >. v' ; Pigs : There was a fair entry and keen enquiry. Baconers brought 45s to 68s, equal to 5d to s£d per ;,lb. Porkers brought 36s to 435, equal to s£d to 6d per lb. ■
