SERIOUS COLLISION.

TWO STEAMERS STRIKE ON A DIRTY, NIGHT, Per Press Association. Wellington, last night. At about 8 o’clock on Sunday morning tho steamer Queen of the South, bound from Groymouth to Foxton, came into collision with tho steamer Gertie, from Westport to Wanganui, off Kourangi Point. The weather was dirty and rainy at the time. Both vessels were damaged about the rails and bulwarks. An enquiry will be held here.
