FANCY DRESS BALL.
The Academy of Musio last evening presented a most animated appearance, on the occasion of the Maritana Quadrille Assembly’s plain and fancy dress ball. The function was a pronounced success in every way, and was a fitting termination to a most successful season. The floor was in capital order, and the music supplied by Mrs Fernandez delighted everyone. Messrs G. Gouldsmitb, EL Miller, and W. Lewis made efficient and capable M.O.’s. The catering was in the able hands of Mrs Erskine, and left nothing to be desired on that score. Among the 70 couples present the following characters were faithfully represented, and lent a picturesque effect to the nicelydecorated hall: —Mrs Walters, Sunflower ; Mrs G.
