Advices from Monastic stato that a captured insurgent declares that prior to the proclamation of the insurrection, a religious ceremony was held in the village of Rokobo, the insurgents receiving the benediction of the Church. London, Sept. 25. Indignation meetings have been held in London and Manchester to protest against Turkish misrule. The Powers, especially Great Britain, are urged to intervene. A relief fund for the sufferers has been started.
