By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright
Received 9.14 a.m., Sept. 27. London, Sept. 2G,
The newspaper People's Journal says that Commissioners appointed to enquire into tho late Sir Hector Macdonald’s case unanimously find there was no reason or cause which would create feelings determining him to commit suicide iu preference to conviction of any crime affecting the moral, irreproachable character of so brave, fearless, and gloriously unparalleled a boro.
Tho Commissioners believe that tho suggestions of crime were prompted through spite. They honorably acquit Sir Hector Macdonald, and deplore the sad circumstances of the case.
