AUCKLAND NEWS.

(Per Press Association.^, Auckland, last night. The Governor arrived in Auckland today. Ho has come for tho purpose of meeting the committee of the Veterans’ Home Buzaar, and he held an important conference with them this afternoon. His Excellency intends to return to Wellington on Monday. A gumdigger named William Danube has been missing from his home at Ratu, near Dargaville, since the 9th inst., and his body was found to-day in tho Kaihu creek.
