Though Mr Justice Chapman takes over the presiduney of tne Arbitration Court, it bus not been settled whether he will sit in that capacity at tho sitting of the court opening in vVelfiugOou next vveok. Mr Justice Coopor will take on the duties of puisne Judge m Wellington, and Judge Edwards succeeds Judge Gouolly on tho Auckland circuit.

FIRE INQUIRY. At Feildmg to day the Coroner hold an inquiry mto tne recent fire at tho Wesleyan Church. The jury returned a verdict ot arson by some person unknown.
