LATE SHIPPING.

THE S.S. HERALD. The s.s. Herald arrived from Tuparoa at 10 o’clock last night, and left for the Coast again. She is expeotod back on Sunday, and will then sail for the South. At Tuparoa yesterday, while landing cargo and passengers, the surf boat in charge of the third officer was washed on top of a rock in tho bay, through being caught on top of a vory heavy sea. Tho boat capsized, but all tho occupants were safely ! . landed, including a lady passenger. As the sea is moderating on tho Coast, the Herald expects to be able to work Tokomaru and Waipiro to-day, and finish Tuparoa to-morrow. Tho s.s. Herald does not proceed to ■Westport this trip, but returns from Nelson direct to Napier, and will leave here again for the Coast on Saturday, the 26th inst^-
