THE CEREMONIES POSTPONED UNTIL NEXT YEAR.

Owing to the smallpox epidemic at Launceston general festivities were postponed until next year. The Mayor of Hobart entertained a very large gathering of prominent citizens in the Town Hall on Saturday to mark the event. The city is gay with hunting.
