SUPPOSED BURGLARS.
DETECTIVES MAKE A HAUL.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington! last night. Last night \ Chief Detective McGrath and Detectives Broberg and Cassell arrested two men named Edwin Gray and Frank King, on charges of burglariously, entering premises at Feilding, Palmerston North, Masterton, Petone, and Wellington. Jewellery to the value of £3OO was found in their possession, which, it is alleged connects them with practically all the burglaries committed in Wellington for some time past. King resides in a house in Arthur street. When the detectives visited his lodgings he bolted through a window, but was captured aftor a smart run up the street. The greater part of the stolen property was deeply buried in a hole in the back yard. To-day the detective office presents the appearance of jewellery sample rooms.
