VETERANS’ HOME.
.(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. ( At the rmnnal meeting of tho Veterans’ Home Board List Wednesday, the Governm- presiding, the annual report stated that the home would be completed and furnished aboub November 15. The Board ie having considerable difficulty in dealing with tho numerous applicants Takin| the total capital required at £16,000 and the number of beds at 40, the cum of j£6070 is still required to render the, home reasonably self supporting. Some Portion of this has already been promised. Otago and Southland so far have done verv littlo. The total receipts to date ~r „ .£9029, of which Wellington contriand Watt Coast £387, Otago and Southland £349.
