A child about a fortnight old was found in a porch in a house in Clarke streot early this evening. The child was warmly and even richly dressed, and with it was a feeding bottle, the milk in wbioh was warm. The police have no clue so far. Tne body of a man was found in the harbor this afternoon in an advanced state of decomposition. In his pocket was a discharge Deacing the name of A. Turner, ship Westralia, tho age being piven as 25 years. The man is believed-to have left the Westralia, and joined the ship Kildalton. Later.—There were three discharges on the body of the seaman found in the harbor, but only two were decipherable. One was from the ship Kastlia and the other from the barque Osther. The Fallen fcioldiers’ Memorial Committee to-day decided to reconsider the design aDd site for the memorial, the proposed arch being objected to as overshadowing the Queen Victoria Statue in the triangle. The amount subscribed so far is .£lslß.
