A PROTEST.
Per Press Association. New Plymouth, last night. At tho Education Board meeting to Ray a resolution was passed confirming a telegram to tho Minisier, sent by the Chairman, hoping that the Minister will reconsider his decision to stnko secretaries of boards off the frankiDg list, pointing out that boards’ expenditure for the year settled that it is impossible to provide for extra expenditure, and protesting strong y against such a radical change, on the ground that it is extra « P OMe to-*ho teachers, committees, and boards, the two latter being now hardly able to make hot ends meet; also suggesting that if the new departure is insisted on it should effect till tho close of the financial year. Mr E. G, Allswortb was re-elected chairman.
