Sir —lf not troubling you too much, may I ask you to inform mo, ],V wha“ time arc wc in Gisborne—now that we have a town clock—supposed to regulate our daily occupations ? My reasons foj asking • are as follows : I keep my time by the Town Clock, but I observe that the Railway Department’s time is two- ■ minutes ahead of that jj at any rate, th’ trains start two minutes sooner than the Town Clock shows the v'time to be. And, .again, as . to a'-hool hours ; we endeavor to keep the children up to time (%: our reckoning), but they are often late, and consequently get the cane. This js .rather hard upon
