Received 12.58 a.m., August 26. Capetown, Aug, 25. Mining circles in tho Rand are perturbed owing to Sir A. J. Lawloy’s decision not to accede to the postponement of tho projected railway construction work requiring 10,000, which ha statod verbally to a recent deputation. Against this 1000 burghers and 1500 natives employed on roads will be transferred to railways.
London, Aug. 25. The Daily Mail asserts that Sir A. J. Lawley promises to reoruit railway labor from areas closed to tho mines.
