Reliance won tho first heat for the Cup, which was postponed owing to the race not finishing in time. Received 9.30 a.m., Aug. 23, Early this morning there was a 12-knot south-westerly breeze, likely to continue.

By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright Received 12.28 a.m., Aug. 24 - New York, Aug. 22, The course waß the Bame as Thursday, with a 10-knot wind. At the start Shamrock left the line with a lead of four seconds. Reliance overhauled her after two hours ten minutes. The American boat easily maintained the lead and won in four minutes twenty-two seconds after deducting tho time allowance.
