SHIPPING.
The Union Company’s s.s. Tarawora arrived from Auckland at 1 p.m, yesterday, and left for Southorn ports shortly before 6 o’clock last evening. Passengers Inward: Miss Roßio, Messrs Trimmed, Poulkr, French, Thomas, Larkins, Smith, / Maxwell, Hardner, Manner, and Wallace. ‘ Outward: Mis 3 Hart; Mesdqmes McDonald, Mossman, Andrew, Bolt, Harvey; Messrs Charlesworth, DobsoD, Parker, Mtur, Mossman, Harvey, McLean, Page, Dawson, Hart, Glasß, White, Chittenden, and Dr Fisher. The Union Company’s Herald arrived from Coast bays and Auckland at 6 o’clock on Saturday evening, and loft for Napier and Westport last evening at 8 o’clock. The following passengers were for this port: Miss Riley, Mrs Follas, Messrs Woollen, Follas, and Rukuata. The schooner Gisborne (Capt. Pankow) arrived from Mercury Bay at 6 o’clock on Saturday evening. She left Mercury Bay on Wednesday, and experienced variable winds until arrival in port. Her cargo consists of 48,000 ft timber for Mackrell and Colley and 17,000 ft for F. Stafford. After discharging operations are completed the schooner returns to Auckland. The schooner Awanui left Mercury Bay on Friday morning with a full oargo of timber for various consignees. She should arrive to-day. The Union Company’s Talune left for Auckland at noon on Saturday, taking the following passengers : Misses Munro and Corrighan; Mesdames Armiger and children, Corrigban ; Messrs Ifwerson, Williams, Boland, Hookey, Jaokson, and Oakley. The schooner Waiapu (Capt. Martin) sailed for Coast ports and Auckland on Saturday morning. UNION STEAM SHIP COMPANY’S MOVEMENTS,
