The French Society for the Protection of Animals has conferred a handsome collar on a mountain dog named Tram for his distinguished services in life-saving, and for his honesty in restoring -lost objects.
According to the New York Herald, a pair of splendid horses has arrived at New York from St Petersburg, consigned to Count Cassini, who will present them to President Roosevelt as a mark of Russian esteem.
A motor-boat has been placed on the Davos Lake, more than. 5000 ft above the sea level, aud will run trips on the lake at popular prices.
