INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
(Per Press Association.) TIMARU, laSb night. The Hospital Board to-day decided a question long in dispute—whether infectious cases should be admitted to the new additions at the Hospital, which were originally 1 intended as fever wards. On the advice of Drs. Mason, Finch, and also the resident surgeon (who said that further provision for general cases was absolutely essential), the- Board decided not to admit infectious cases and strongly proposed that ‘legislation should be adopted hrrowing the onus of the responsibility for infectious cases on the Hospital Boards.
