By, Telegraph—Press Association— Dunedin, last night. A story of a terrible accident with great pluck and endurance is reported by the Cromwell correspondent of tho Daily Times. A rabbiter on Mount Pisa station named Clark slipped on the ice and fell down a steep face, fracturing his hip. A sharp rock made a gash iour inches in length in the. abdomen, exposing the bowels. Clark, not kaviDg a penknife, made holes with the tODgue of belt buckles and stitched up the wound with a boot lace. A younger brother and sister found him, and brought blankets to tho place under which he had to rest till daylight, as it was impossible to remove him in the dark. He was taken next day to Cromwell hospital.
