ALLEGED ASSAULT.

SEQUEL TO SHOOTING CASE.

Per Press Association., Wellington, last night.

John Clark, alias Angus, was to day committed for trial at the Suprome Court on a charge of causing grievous bodily harm to Alexander Hogg. The case is a Bequol to tho affair in Victoria street on the night of July 21, when Hogg was shot in the left leg with a revolver. It appeared that he had been having some dealing and then dispute about money with a woman, and Clark appearing on the scene joined in the discussion. Clark and this woman lived together. It was alleged by her that Hogg ill-used her, and it was not until she complained of this to Clark that ho attacked Hogg.
