RECENT PRICES FULLY MAIN TAINED. • (Per Press Association.)

Christchurch, last night. There was a medium yarding at Addington to-day, and despite the small attendance of buyers business was brisk, and recent high rates were fully maintained. Fat cattle: 114 head came forward, comprising some first-class lines. Five bullooks from the North Island realised from £l7 5s to £2l, other steers £7 10s to £l4 17s 6d, heifers £6 7s 6d to £l3 15s; cows £6 5s to £l3 15s. Beef sold at 29s fid to 33s 6d per lOOlbs. Fat sheep: There was a fairly large entry, and recent values were fully maintained. A small lioe of very prime merinoos from Montrose Station realised up to 37s 6d each. Ewes were in short supply, and in consequence showed an increased price. Best wethers sold from 28s to 335, extra hoavy .383 to 48s 6d,. lighter sorts 18s lOd to 225. Best merino wethers realised from 23s to 373 fid, and lighter 17s 9d to 19s 9d. Prime ewes brought from 20s to 28s, and medium 15s to 18s lOd.

Fat lambs : 530 came forward, the pens containing a comparatively small proportion of first-class quality, which wore a shade under late rates. Well-grown hoggets' sold from 18s 9d to 21s 3d, and lighter sorts 15s to 17s sd. Pigs: There was a fair yarding, and pens were readily disposed of at prices on a par with those ruling last week. Baconers sold at from 45s to 78s, equal to 5d per lb; porkers, 35s to 40s 6d, equal to 5Jd per lb. '
