DEATH FROM SUFFOCATION.

(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. At the Coroner’s inquest in connection* with the death of the Maori infant at Whakarapa, held yesterday, the jury returned the following verdict -.—“ The deceased met bis death at Whakarapa on the night of Saturday, August Bth, 1903, by suffocation from drowning, and conclude from the evidence that suet t drowning was caused at the hands of hf.s mother, Ani Nganiho Makar a. while in,-sane.”
