The Tariff Reform League has issued a pamphlet in answer to the Labor members of the House of Commons appeal, cablod on tho 9th. It desires to warn the colonies that Mr Chamberlain never suggested tho food of any householder should bo rendered dearer. Ho had specifically stated that no worker’s food should be increased a single farthing.
