The Labor party is seeking to induce Mr Kingston to reconsidor his decision, suggesting that his views will be met by the introduction of the Navigation Bill this session.
Mr Kingston, however, has declined to entertain any such proposal, on the ground that no compromise is possible on the principle for which he resigned.
