The King visited the Corporation dwellings, and afterwards, on his own impulse, went through several alleys in the slums, where he visited in 1885 when lie attended the Royal Commission on dwellings. His Majesty gave £IOOO to tho poor ol Dublin. In the afternoon, their Majesties proceeded to Newtownards, County Down, where Lord Londonderry entertained them.
