' T is hereby notified that it is the - - intention of the above-named Board, at a Meeting to be held on FRIDAY, July 31st, 1903, to strike a General Rate of Threo Farthings in the £, in terms of Section 37 of “ The Rating Act, 1894,” and Section 114 of “ The Road Boards Act, 1882,” the said rate -to be on the capital value of all rateable property within the Whataupoko Road District, for the period of One Year, from the Ist April, 1903, to 31st March, 1904, and to due and payable in one sum on August 14th, 1903, at the office of the Board, Lowe street, Gisborne. It is also notified that the following Special Rates in the respective Special Districts hereunder mentioned, to provide interest on Loans under “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” will be payable for the same period, viz.: (1) The Whole District, at One Farthing in the £. (2) Mangapapa Special District—One Penny in the £, (3) Riverside Special District One Half penny in the £. (4) Stout Street Special District—One Half-penny in the £.
