GOVERNMENT INSPECTORS.
MUST NOT BE ENTERTAINED BY FARMERS. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. By direction of the Cabinet a circular has been issued to the inspectors of stook, noxious Weeds, dairies, and rabbit agents, directing that they are to abstain from accepting free accommodation from farmers while on duty. The circular statos that tbe attention of the Government has been drawn to the fact that the officers, while performing official duties, frequently stay with farmers-and settlers, thereby occasioning remarks by neighbors that such persons are unduly favored by the Government. In future all officers will stats in their.monthly diaries where they stayed while travelling, and whether they paid for their accommodation or otherwise. ,
