ACCIDENT BY DYNAMITE

At Shannon this morning J. Ooonea and three other men were engaged in warming dynamite over a fire, with 30 additional piugs in clobo proximity. The dynamite on the fire oxploded, and the concussion also oxploded the 80 plugs, resulting in Coonea having his leg broken, side severely cut, aud painful injuries inflicted to bis boad. Another man, name not ascertainable, recoived conoussion of the brain, and the others were more or less injured. Two of tbo men were brought into the hospital this morning, and the full extent of their injuries is not yet known. Ooonea whb a former resident of Dunedin.
