THE MOB SMASH IN THE DOORS.
By, Telegraph—Press Association—
Copyright. LONDON, Juiy 14. Two Nationalists of Dublin Corporation proposed and seconded ’an address to the King. When the gallery was filled, the doors were closed. The mob, determined to enter, smashed the doors.. The police cleared the gallery and approached the hall. ■ The Lord Mayor states that lie was unwilling to make the name of Ireland offensive to the King, but there was no sufficient ground for the addrets. It was not a question of paying deference to the King, but the competition of beggars for titles.. The voting of the address would imply censure on Ireland’s Home Rule policy. The address was negatived by 43 to 7. . . ' Several local bodies in Ireland have voted addresses.
