Ngatapa clip realised 7£d, Ketu 6|d, Bobinson 9|d, Koputone 13-Jd. There have ; been catalogued to date 50,113 bales; and i sold 46,703 bales. Frozen mutton: Canterbury is unchanged ; Dunedin and Southland is at 3fd, North Island 3jd. Lambs : Canterbury, light 5 7-16 d, heavy 3Jd, Dunedin and Southland 5,3 16d, North Island sjjd. New Zealand beef, 1801 b to 2201 b, .fair average : quality ox hinds River Plate sheep', light 3 5-16 d ; beef, ox fores 3 7-16 d, hinds 4 3-16 a. Hides are in small .supply, and poor demand. Prices are nominal. Queensland heavy ox are at s£d, light 5 6-16 d, cow 5 3-16 d. Leather, basils,are unchanged.. "(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The Agent-General cables under date London, July 11 : —“ The mutton market is firmer, with a better demand. Biver Plate is in small supply. The average price for Canterbury is 3|-d, Dunedin, Southland, and Wellington Meat, Export Company 3Jd, other North Island brands 3|d, ewes 3£d. The average price of Biver Plate is 3fd. Lamb is in good demand for all brands. The average prices are: Canterbury 5Jd, brands other than Canterbury 5Jd, Biver Plato 4|d. There is scarcely any demand for beef,' to some extent owing to the unfavorable weather. The average prices are : Hindquarters 4{jd, fores 2 3 Bd. Butter is steady. Prices are nominal at 93s per cwt for New Zealand and 90s for Argentine. Cheese is in small demand at 575, Canadian 50s. Hemp is steadier. The price of good, fair Wellington on spot is £3l 10s, July to August shipments £3O 10s. There has been no alteration in cocksfoot since last week. The importation of Biver Plate mutton into the United Kingdom during June was as follows: 220,702 carcases landed at Liverpool, 29,342 at London, 10,356 at Newcastle, 9088 at Cardiff, 2000 at Southampton, and 1214 at Plymouth. Biver Plate lamb: 10,923 carcases landed at Liverpool, 2863 at London, and 550 at Cardiff. Biver Plate butter: 4180 owts were landed at Liverpool and London.”
