PRESIDENT LOUBET’S VISIT
GRATUTUDE FOR RECEPTION

President Loubet, accompanied by
the King and Queen, visited Aidershot, and witnessed a review of sixteen thousand troops of the First Army, Corps. He subsequently dined at Lord Lansdowne’s house and attended 'a ball at Buckingham Palace, at which there were present two thousand guests. It was the finest entertainment since the Kind’s Corn onation.
M. Loubet starts for Dover at eight o’clock this morning. The King, Prince of Wales, Duke of Connaught, Mr Balfour, and Lord Lansdowne were present at the Victorian station to bid good-bye to M. Loubet.
Enthusiastic / crowds gathered in the streets to farewell the visitor. M. Loubet, from aboard the Gruchen, telegraphed tendering the King his liveliest gratitude for the warm reception by the Sovereign, Royal Family, and nation, extended to him as the representative of France, England’s friend.
The King sent an equally felicitous reply.
