THE VERDICT.

(Per Press Association.) Invercargill, last night,

At an adjourned Inquest on the body of Bernard Mullan the jury returned a verdict “ that the deceased came by his death by a fall from a window in Wullacetovvn Junction Hotel. We baliovo that the fall was the result of tho deceased being supplied with intoxicating liquor in the hotel while in a drunken state.” Mullan had beon at the stock sales adjoining tho hotel, and evidence was given that he was tho worse for liquor at sundown. His home was not far away, but he was put to bed in the hotel.
