'{Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night,
At a meeting to-day the Lyttelton Harbor Board resolved to express an opinion opposed to the Auckland proposal to obtain power from Parliament to grant honorariums to Chairmen of Harbor Boards. It was stated that the payment of such an officer brought in undesirable elements. Payment meant that there would be a scramble for the loaves and fishes.
