LADY MACDONALD.

Macpherson, chief of the Scottish Society of New Zealand, has received a letter in reply to resolutions of sympathy forwarded to'Lady Macdonald on the occasion of the suicide of the hue General. Lady Maedoueid writes " Please say to the members haw deeply thankful both my sou and I are to receive the sympathy and condolence of the Society which was held in such high esteem and regard by my hue husband. It is most comforting to read in the midst of our sorrow the exceedingly kind and appreciative words.
