INTER-ISLAND MATCH A DRAW.

Per Press Association., Christchurch, last night.

Tho first Inter-Island hockey match was played this afternoon, and resulted in a draw, neither side scoring. The ground, owing to the recent rain, was in a very bad condition. The South Island men had tho best of the gatuo, a featuro of their play being defence, which was very Bound. Tho left wing of the North Island team was conspicuous for good work.
