A DAYLIGHT ROBBERY.

By Telegraph—Press Association,

Dunedin, last night,

A sensational incident connected with the retrial of Ramsay and Cairns for daylight robbery occurred this morning. The jury went out to inspect the cart which played a prominent part in the robbery, and concealed in a bag at the bottom found a handkerchief belonging to Cairns, smeared with paint. This supports the Crown theory that Cairns, who was a stage hand, had effected a theatrical dis* guise.
