A Southern paper publishes a telega tn stating thut Sir W. J. Steward has open y declared his intention of contesting me Speakership against all-comers. Sir Wilburn telegraphs to the Presß Association : “ Please adviso the press throughout the colony thut the statement is absolutely without foundation, as I huvo not declared any such intention either openly or private! y.”
