OLD AGE PENSIONS.

By Telegraph—Press Association— Dunedin, last night. At the Old Age Pensions Court to-day the question was raised by the Deputy Registrar in the case of the application for the renewal of a pension, as to whether the life interest in a property constituted ownership. Mr Carew, S.M., decided that the new regulations upon which the Registrar proposed to act was ultra vires, and contrary to the provisions of the Act itself. A full pension was granted in one case, and the second was dealt with on the question of income.
