SUPREME COURT.
By Telegraph—Press Association— Invercargill, last night. Iu tho Supreme Court the grand jury found true bids in all the cases. Thomas Gibson, a respectable tradesman, was found guilty of unlawfully converting a lady’s bicycle, which he averred was found in his coalyard many months after it went missing from the passage of an office iu town. The man is of a singularly retiring disposition. Me said that he did not want to be mixed up in a possible ease, and said nothing about finding the machine. The latter seemed to have been used to some extent, and when the matter was laid bare he gave the lady £lB for the deprivation of the use of her bicycle. Accused was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.
George E. Dickson was convicted of taking a watch and chain from the pocket of Dr Unkmann in an hotel at LumsdeD, and was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment.
