By Telegraph —Press Association. Auckland, last night. Great Shot was amongst the arrivals yesterday. Roscshoot and Float arrive to day. Haydn, Marine, Straybird, Star, Master Model, Cnnnongate, Gilnockie and St Gordon each did schooling work yesterday afternoon. This morning all tho steeplechase horses, with the exception of Jack-o’-Lantern and Crouje, did light work, also the National Hurdle horses, with the exception of .Dolores, who is unlikely to start, and Fakir. Betting on the Hurdles is open. Otairi, Tresham, Mars, aud Battleaxe are most favored, and for tho Steeplechase Awahuri, Cannongate aud Haydn.
