The beautiful weather which prevailed last Saturday afternoon was much enjoyed by the largo crowd of spectators which assembled Du witness the match between Tokoiuaru and Tolago. A considerable amount of interest was manifested by supporters of both clubs, and the game was throughout of a very interesting

Alberts was successful in adding '■) points more for his team, whilst Fairlio and Earle were not slow in crossing the line, one of toe tries being converted by Gerrard, The game resulted in a win for Tokomaru by 17 points to 5. For the homo toum T. Potae, at full, was safe, but not brilliant. Thomson, Gerrard, and T. Mulligan made good three-quarters. Thornton, as half, also did good work. F'airiie, W. Alberts, P. White, and Earle among the forwards were most conspicuous, especially tho former, who played a splendid game. He was uiways on tho hall, and did well in the line out.
For T’olago Ray .1. Murphy opened the game by a good display, and showed himself equal to his reputation. He had the misfortune, after about 15 minutes’ play, to get burs, arid bad to leave tho field. Tho vacancy was taken by Alaunseil, who was rather unsafe at the important position of full-back. W.” Huutonga, M. Murphy, and Wi Rangi (Te Auto) played excellent games. G. Roy nolds (live oighths) was in good form, and shows signs of being pretty safe with a little more practice. Henilerson did riot gut much chance to pHu an ex lihitiou at half. In the forwards O.jAvnii.i, Panapa, Rob and Ralph Alurpby (Haiti City) were the most conspicuous, ami worked the ball into tiie pack Mr Rev. O. i.'i'zg'-rai'd acted as referee, and Messrs Jamieson and Hewitson line umpires.
