DAIRY INDUSTRY.
MR KINSELLA’S LAMENTATION,
Per Press AssociationWellington, last night,
Mr Kinsolla, ex-Dairy Commissioner, left on Saturday for South Africa via Australia. Interviewed by a Post representative, he said, in reply to the Premier’s remarks, that his recommendations had been published in the official reports and the newspapers all over the country had urged that they be carried out, but the Government disregarded them all. Referring to his appointment to tho Transvaal, tho first intimation he had was from tho Hairy Commissioner of Canada, who stated that the Canadian Government had been asked to select an expert for the Transvaal, but having none to spare, recommended Mr Kiusella. Tho latter added that when he first received tho offer he at onco consulted tho head of the Department of Agriculture, and subsequently wired to him from Hokitika that ho had accepted the offer. 110 deelaros he has no grievance against tho Government, but cannot seo how we are to got an export from Canada for JE4OO a year when that country had none to spare for tho Transvaal at .£BOO, nor can ho see how the work is to bo properly carried out if we have two experts from different countries, who aro bound to bo attached to slightly different methods without any controlling head.
