’ (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. In the libel case yesterday morning Judea- Conolly, referring u, Kic-hard-son s method of conducting his case, said lie was surprised at iiix own endurance.
Uicliardson said if His Honor would let, him have a fair trial there would not, be a quieter man in the colony.
.fudge Conolly : That is an abominable assertion, and a false one. Defective Macmalion deposed jthat, as far as his observation went. the Alexandra Hotel was as well conducted as other hotels in the vicinity.
