(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. The Takapuna Jockey Club’s Winter Meeting was commenced on Saturday. The weather was showery, hut the attendance was fair. The sum put through tho totalizator was £6149. The results were : Handicap .Maiden Hurdles.—Gilnockic1, Tuni 2, Little Wonder o. Scratched : Pullack. Won by five lengths. Sudden, Ptovealer, Dayntree, Tempest, Kotiro, Coma, Dolores, and Spalpeen came to grief, leaving six to finish. Time 8.14 25, diva. jeO 18s (id arid £2 Is.
