BOROUGH LOAN.
IMPORTANT PROPOSAL BY THE MAYOR.
At tho Borough Council meeting last night His Worship the Mayor gave notice to move at next meeting that the ratepayers be approached for authority to borrow the 1175,000 at 44 per cent., instead of the limit of 4 per cent., up to which the ratepayers had previously authorised.
