l’y Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. The Magistrate has ordered the extradition of Edith Stevens, alias Stuart, charged with receiving £ZQ from Duncan Mcl’hail, of Sydney, knowing it was dishonestly obtaiued, and Frank Stuart, charged with theft and the forgery of with intent to defraud McPhail. The polico stated that I!31 was found on the woman. Since her arrival it was discovered that she luid committed bigamy. Tho defalcations of tho male accused amounted to it 1200. Stuart, when arrested, denied, but subsequently admitted, bis identity ; also that the .£llO in liis possession was part of the money. A stolen letter was found on Stuart addressed to his parents. ILo admitted taking .£IOOO or more of his employers’ money.
