St. Petersburg officials belittle tho reports regarding Russia's action at Niuehwang. They decline that the reinforcements sent there temporarily have now been definitely withdrawn. Tho Cbini-so viceroys and governors telegraphed to the Grand Council at Pcltin, urging them to stand firm aguinst foreign aggression. Admiral Bridge took tho Glory to Hankow. Bho was ldio first battleship seen there, and was warmly welcomed.
